Really sad, Roma was among the Italian teams the one that clearly deserved to go through. Roma gave all it had, considering that so many of his players were out (How we have missed DDR, in such a match he could have been more than ever decisive)and that even those who were on the pitch were clearly not in good shape (Totti for one, although his class is always there).
I was quite disappointed by Arsenal who did very little to deserve to win and I could not stand the disgusting and systematic attitude of Almunia, their goalie, trying to intimidate the Roma players…only for that Arsenal would have deserved to lose..it goes without saying that if they play like that, they will go nowhere and van Persie..what a waste
The only good news came from Old Traffort, in which Mourinho confirmed that to be the best you have to prove it, not just say it; yet again he did not. Let`s hope he will be sacked soon ..it will never be too late…Probably in his next team he will recruit Almunia as keeper, “killer” Carvalho in defence plus Cordoba and Ballack in mid-field, another hopeless star who is never making the difference…
Now Roma has clearly to concentrate on the Campionato, where they can still do it.
Two lessons to learn though: Vucinic should not shoot the penalties and Doni should train for saving the penalties shot in the middle of the goal…Posted from
