Rockin’
By: Jake | January 26th, 2009So, Michele is a little busy this week, and I was asked to fill-in. I thought why not, so, here I am.
I’m going to look over the last match ratings, first from gooooooooooooallllllllll.com.
PLAYER RATINGS
Below are the ratings for De Rossi and his friends of the middle of the park.
Brighi: 6.5- As honest as the day is long, Brighi never stopped running all game, and his workrate helped Roma win the midfield battle. Could have also scored on 15 minutes.
De Rossi: 8.5- Played a crucial anchoring role in front of the defence, and stopped the Napoli supply line. Shadowed Lavezzi closely, and was a key reason for the Argentine’s minimal impact. A beastly performance.
Pizarro: 8.0- Possibly the best player on the pitch in the first half, as he ran the show in the middle of the park, with his pin-point passes. Created the first two goals, before he succumbed to injury at half time.
Taddei: 7.0- Confirmed his improved form of late with another good showing. Made a number of enterprising runs, and almost scored when his shot struck the post on 63 minutes.
Seems like, De Rossi ruled the middle of the park, while Brighi was alittle bit of a let down. A beastly performance for De Rossi? It seems like we all expect that from the star. And we get it 99% of the time.
…I would get the rest of the ratings, but I cannot seem to find them. Or maybe I am just lazy? Who knows?
Anyway, with old man Christian Panucci seemingly leaving in the summer (or now even?) I would say it’s safe to shout to the world about our new vice-captain De Rossi. It won’t be the first time De Rossi has worn the captain’s armband nor will it be the last.
Well, it would be the last if Manchester City had their way; Sir De Rossi would be going to the blue side of Manchester, wishful thinking by City. I mean first Roma wouldn’t accept a bid in most likelihood and De Rossi wouldn’t accept a contract from them, as seen in this interview. Well, it’s really a quote, but you get the idea.
De Rossi also thinks ‘the natural order’ has been restored. Which means, we’re back to kicking ass, it is just in ‘other’ words, I guess.
And, am I the only person who is lovin’ De Rossi’s longer (for his standard of hair in resent years anyway) hair? Seriously, De Rossi is awesome and everything…but I think his really short hair makes him look pissed off all the time, like he’s going to kick someone in the face.

Yeah, I’ve liking it.
Also, Arsenal.com is doing a weekly ‘euro watch’ on Roma, nothing really different from other sites, just thought it was a bit interesting that they’re keeping up with our results and letting their fans now how we’re doing.
And finally…it’s nice to see De Rossi has been practising his American Football.

See ya another time all!

I also like the longer hair, but as far as that ‘I’m-gonna-kick-you-in-the-face’ look, I think it’s always there.
