By: Michele |No Daniele does not mean no Danielista.
So after a miserable loss last week and just before a Champions League quarter final Roma was faced with Siena.
My prediction for this game was 0-0. It is the sort of game Roma loves to draw, it had all the elements;
A clash with a compact, well organized team which had beaten them in their last encounter, several key players out, an up-coming International clash and last but not least, a Roman inbetween the sticks on the other side of the pitch. Read the rest of this entry »

Atalanta 3 Roma 0
After struggling to find a stream for what seems like hours I was rewarded with one of the worst games I have seen Roma play.
Roma was asleep for much of the first half and allowed themselves to be dominated by a side playing much the same football ASR used to play.
Roma was clearly in a lazy mood and probably thought fourth place was guaranteed; Genoa was playing Fiorentina (placed 5th and 3rd) and given their amazing run of form they were firm favorites. On top of all that Il Capitano was back in action and Mirko was stating to score regularly. Read the rest of this entry »

Greetings, ‘Il Danielista’ is back and what a great game to come back for.
This game could not have gone any better.
Big game, one of the biggest of the season so far (what a season though – one big game every 2 weeks…). Read the rest of this entry »
Rockin’
By: Jake |So, Michele is a little busy this week, and I was asked to fill-in. I thought why not, so, here I am.
I’m going to look over the last match ratings, first from gooooooooooooallllllllll.com.

…or Roma entertain Silvio’s traveling circus……
……..or Mirko 2 Pato 2
It was very much a game of two halves.
So in that respect much like any other football game you’ve seen…
I was really looking forwards to this game after what felt like months of having to feign interest in the premiership and was sure Roma would win.
After all who does Milan have who can stand up to DDR? Read the rest of this entry »
Happy X-Mas and New Year
By: Michele |I know I’m both too late for Christmas and too early for NY’s but its the thought that counts.
As a late present a great Daniele video and lets hope he gets back to his midfield running ways in time for Milan.
Forza Roma and Forza Capitano Futuro, third place and champions league here we come…
Il Danielista 10*
By: Michele |Catania 3 Roma 2
Horrible game.
The whole team just decided to throw away everything they’ve been working towards since Chelsea.
There was only one team on the pitch for most of the game and the 3-2 scoreline somewhat flatters Roma. The team didn’t wake up until the last 20 minutes but it was too late.
This being Roma – Catania the atmosphere was pretty nasty from the off and no less than 10 yellow cards were handed out Read the rest of this entry »

In search of a silver star…
and Daniele’s 250th appearance for La Magica
Not the most exciting game of the season but Mirko has proved his is without a doubt Roma’s Casanova. Last week he delighted women (and some men) across the globe with his impromptu striptease and this week he gives his shirt to the lines woman Read the rest of this entry »

So not only is La Magica through but they are top of the group.
A horrible start and a beautiful finish.
Not something Roma fans are used to.
The game itself was fairly unspectacular and it wasn’t until the second half that Roma decided to actually start playing. Why does Roma never maintain a constant level of brilliance?
There were many good points to take from the game: Read the rest of this entry »
Il Danielino
By: Michele |Chievo 0 Roma 1
This was never going to be a pretty game.
Chievo decided to employ a formation very similar to the one they use when on the team bus and Roma had to work hard to get a ball through.
In the end Daniele headed the ball to JéJé Méne who managed to put it behind Sorrentino (who was truly a giant between the sticks for Chievo).
He’s fast, skillful and not short of ideas when it comes to beating players. Read the rest of this entry »
